Congratulations on buying a house. It will end up being a really worthwhile investment - I haven't yet bought a house and I'm not sure when I'll be able to. The rate you mentioned sounds pretty good.
I'm sorry to read about your money troubles, too. I know how it feels. Being in a tight situation financially is very tough to the point of being incredibly emotional - I've been there myself. It sounds like you have some good people around you though (or at least, a couple of good people) and you seem to have a solid idea about what you need to do to move forward.

Well . . . just gotta get back to work, I guess. Work was mostly enough to pay the bills before things got sucky and you couldn't make it out to work for a while. Just gotta get back into the rhythm again.
