I figured I'd start this world off with a post about a game I've played for several years: PWI. This game is pretty old, so most if not all computers nowadays could easily run it. Mine has 8gb ram and no fancy graphics card, and I can run it with the graphics all the way up and only lag in Archosaur (the main city).
Honestly? I used to love this game. Now, not so much.
When I first started, there were some people who were new to the game and people were friendly and it was easy to get money.
Some time after they came out with the Duskblade and Nightshade classes, it got super hard to get money. As someone who can't afford to spare much, that hit me hard. I can't even afford food for my pet unless I spend several hours grinding and hoping I get some coin. The stuff you could sell to an NPC for 1000 coin now sells for either nothing, or a ridiculously low amount like 10 coin or 100 coin, if you're lucky.
Also, your rare spawns aren't rare anymore. I usually play Venomancers (basically beast tamers) and all the rare mobs are super common. I see Kowlins and those big polar bear pets for sale in the cat shops for less than 1mil coin on a regular basis.
As far as the Homestead update, I don't know much about it. That, I believe, was after they made money tight and such. It's an interesting concept but I'm willing to bet that you have to buy gold for that, which costs real money or a crazy amount of coin. (Last I checked it was like 4.3mil coin for 1 gold, but that was before they changed everything.)
Basically, it used to be an awesome game. Now, it's garbage. Money is ridiculously tight, rare is no longer rare, all of the people there are high level and you can't get into a guild unless you're RA9 lvl 100 or something ridiculous like that.
If you're a high level player already and can afford to pay to win, good for you. Have fun in your territory wars and your weekly nation wars.
