Hime closed her eyes as memories washed over her. She saw herself, Dino, Chero and Danni in the cave like hall.
“We found a way out! We can finally escape!” Danni cried.
“…Yeah…” Chero said.
“I’ll go and check ahead,” Dino said.
“I wish the others had come upstairs too, instead of waiting. They really would have had fun,” Hime said.
The three left jumped when they heard Dino cry out. Chero’s eyes went wide.
“DINO!!” she cried, running after him.
“What happened?” Danni called after them, “Did you trip again?”
“Let’s go!” Hime said, leading the way.
“Hime, run! Quickly!” Dino called.
Hime froze as she saw the monster standing where the rope to freedom once hung. Around the monster was the bodies of their friends.
“Oh God! Why?!” Chero sobbed.
“What are you standing there for? Let’s run!” Danni cried.
“Dannazione…And we finally found an exit!” Dino tsked.
The four ran away from the monster. Dino watched his friends escape as his foot got caught on something. He fell to the ground, the monster right behind him.
“Merda! Damn…is this…it?”
Lost Dino. Hime watched the memory end.
“…Is this one of the possibilities for the future? Am I seeing what could happen?” she wondered, “I have to do something…Maybe if I had let Danni know what happened…”
Hime ran though the scenario in her head. Lost Danni and Dino…. That plan was no good. What else could she do? Maybe if she stopped Dino from falling in the first place?
Hime watched as her memory-self attacked the monster before Dino could trip. Hime winced in pain as she was attack.
The monster seems to have gotten stronger…Looks like this plan was no good…as well.
“I knew it…”Chero said, “…Hime, Dino, Danni…I’m sorry. Looks like we couldn’t make it again…”
She sobbed, “It’s gotten stronger than it was in the beginning. I can’t do this alone!”
“C-chero?” Danni questioned.
“Come on! Let’s run!” Dino yelled.
“I’m sorry…I made a mistake yet again…” Chero sniffled.
“NO!” Dino cried, jumping in front of Chero, blocking the monster’s path.
“Chero! Dino! NO!” Danni cried.
Lost Chero and Dino
….Hime would still lose her friends…even if she fought the monster. They might as well not come here at all! But then Hime would get another memory that shows the worst end. She wanted a good end.
“What can I do?” she asked herself.
“Are you ok, Hime?” Kiki asked.
Hime shook her head and then nodded, “…Yes.”
“…That was not as fun as I thought it would be…Which one is real again?” Jenny asked.
“Try and sort it out on our way back. If you still can figure it out, ask Dino…He seems to not get the false memories,” Kiki said.
“Umm…right. Kiki are you ok? You seemed unfocused. HOW MANY FINGERS AM I HOLDING?” Jenny said.
“….Two. I’m not blind, Jenny…”
Hime placed a palm on her forehead, “My thoughts are all so jumbled…It makes my
head hurt…I can’t do this alone…”
