The trio wandered around in the basement. They ended up in a room with some bookshelves.
“This room puts me on edge…and I don’t know why…” Kiki said.
“I found a secret passage!” Jenny called.
“Nice job!” Hime praised.
Jenny beamed and led the way into a stone hall…almost as if it were a cave.
“What a weird hallway…” Kiki said.
“Look!” Jenny cried, pointing.
Dangling from a hole was a rope ladder.
“I can see outside! We can get out!” Kiki cried.
Kiki turned and ran to get everyone else.
“Let’s go, Jenny!” Hime grinned.
“Wait! Hime… Why did you let me come along? Did you want to talk?” Jenny asked.
“Oh. OH….I forgot. Yes. I did want to talk alone for a bit…” Hime said.
Kiki stared at the bookshelf in the room they were in earlier, “Something is weird about this room…But what?”
Kiki dug around the bookshelf and found what looked like a clock cog. It vanished in her hand and her pocket watch felt warm in her pocket. She pulled it out and opened it. The time was moving a little bit on it.
“I could probably stop time for a few seconds now…” she said.
Hime and Jenny walked into the room.
“Hey you two!” Kiki said, “What took so long?”
“Are you ok, Kiki?” Hime asked.
“I’m perfectly ok! My watch is working a little bit now!” she cheered, “Now I can stop that monster for about two seconds.”
“Really?” Hime asked.
“What? I can try and find more parts and make it last longer!”
“No no. I didn’t mean it like that!” Hime said.
“Oh look! A clock!” Jenny exclaimed.
“We don’t need to break it. We found the way out,” Hime said.
“Awww…But I wanted to see the fake memories at least once!”
“I’ll break it then. Just don’t complain later,” Kiki said, breaking the clock.
