Hime walked down the hallway in the direction that the sound came from. She stopped when she entered the kitchen.
“The kitchen does not even look that old either…”
Hime walked over to the counter and saw a broken plate on the floor.
“AH HA! So you are the culprit!”
She bent over and picked up a plate shard to show the others.
“Chero will laugh when she finds out she jumped due to this.”
Hime did however wonder why the plate broke like that. There was no one else here…that they knew of. She searched the kitchen, finding nothing of interest.
“Better head back now.”
She left the kitchen and headed back to the entry way to meet up with her friends.
“…?”
Hime looked around. Dino, Danni and Chero. All three of them were gone.
“Where did they go?”
Hime pulled out her katana from its sheath and walked down the other hallway to check there. She hoped that nothing bad had happened. But…if something bad had happened…She had to find them quickly.
Hime froze when she saw something big and grey walk through a door. Hime snuck over to the door and tried to open it. Locked. She sighed and headed back the way she came.
“In the horror movies…It is always bad luck to go upstairs…But in a situation such as this…I should probably go upstairs,” Hime mused.
Hime walked up the stairs and paused when she saw a whip on the stair above the one she was standing on.
“That’s….Dino’s whip?”
Hime picked it up and held onto it. She headed over to the first room she saw.
“Empty…”
….? She heard a noise…Hime looked over at the closet in the room and walked over to it. She slowly opened it to reveal Dino shivering.
“Dino?!” she questioned.
Dino did not reply and just kept shivering. Hime’s eyes narrowed and she smacked him across the face.
“Pull yourself together!”
Dino blinked and looked over at Hime, who now had her arms crossed.
“T-thanks…” he said.
“What happened?” Hime asked.
“While you were gone…A monster attacked us. We all ran in different directions. I
lost Chero and Danni. And my whip.”
Hime highly doubted there really was a monster, but held the whip out to him,
“Problem one solved!”
Dino gave Hime a small smile, “Grazie”
“Let’s go look for Chero and Danni!”
Dino frowned, “Can I wait here? I need to rest a bit more. And if you find food…I am a bit hungry…”
Hime pursed her lips together, “Fine. I’ll look for Danni and Chero…AND FOOD.”
“Oh, here’s a key I found,” he said, handing it to Hime.
“Thanks.”
