Hush, Love, Don't cry,
It'll be alright,
Hold me close,
As I administer the dose,
Listen to my lullaby of lies.

So, Spring Break was okay. I got home and found out I no longer had access to wireless interwebz in my room. Somehow, the neighbors found out that "someone" was stealing wireless interwebz from them, so they got a password-protected wireless interwebz...It made me sad. And maybe a bit frustrated...So, rather than wrestle with dial-up, I made friends with my World Civ 2 reading, which was a book called The River Between. It's by some Kenyan guy...I think it's fiction, but he used it to describe how Kenya was colonized and stuff. I'm about halfway finished, and it's due tomorrow at 10 am, along with a Study Question, which basically says to write the NEXT chapter for the book! I'm pretty sure that if the book's already published, the Kenyan dood doesn't want another chapter added....

Anyways, I also made friends with the living room couch and the tv. Thank Jeebus for DirecTv! And CSI...I watched a lot of CSI...Including both CSI: New York AND CSI: Miami! :D

On Monday, I got to hang out with Kytten, Mantha, and KitKat. We got to see Kytten's new apartment. It's small, but it's cool. Me and Kytten made plans to go to Memphopolis on Tuesday, but my mommy said no...Actually, she said, "It's too dangerous. Plus it's going to storm on Tuesday." Lo and behold, it stormed on Tuesday. But the storm didn't come until AFTER Kytten and I would've been back! >.<

I got to play Kingdom Hearts 2...But I couldn't figure out how to hook my PS2 up to the big screen tv in the living room, so I had to borrow my little brother's PS2, as well as his tv and his room. He was at work, so it was okay. I gained a newfound hatred for Roxas whilst I played...Seriously, I hated him the first time I played through, and now I hate him even more!! The kid can't do crap!! I wanna get Sora back...Unfortunately, now that I'm back at college, I virtually have NO time to play....Sora will have to stay sleeping in that bubble...

Friday, I came back to Clarksvegas. I unloaded my car, checked the interwebz from which I'd been deprived, and then grabbed a few things and headed to Daku's. The two of us got to have MUCHO alone cuddly time at his house. His parents and little sister were on a cruise. His other sister was at her nurse's house...She's autistic. Anyways, I can't disclose any of the events that took place...It was just a bunch of cuddling...And movie-watching...We saw "12 Rounds" on opening night! That was a kick-ass movie...And last night, he decided it was a good idea for us to watch "Quarantine" together...He was wrong...We stopped it about half-way through...I'm sorry, but the idea of UBER RABIES does not appeal to me...Neither does watching an old lady bite a chunk out of a policeman's neck...He did buy me a Kingdom Hearts 2 t-shirt from Hot Topic, though...

I got some good quality skin-color markers yesterday at Hobby Lobby. They're Prismacolor. I got, like, 5 skin shades, a random stone shade, a new black marker (my old one is running out!), and a colorless blender. I can't wait to use them! They were 30% off...I love sales! XD

So, now I'm here. At college. In my room. With quite a to-do list. Seriously!! Here it is:

To-Do List
~finish The River Between
~write the Study Question
~read assigned chapter for Families & Students presentation
~draw self-portrait for Figure Drawing
~pick out 11 works for Sophomore Review
~"finish" works (i.e. mount them)
~write artist's statement for Sophomore Review
~finish 2 commissions for a couple of people on campus
~work on entry for jamo's OC challenge

I dun wanna do it!! TT^TT Oh well...Guess I better get to it anyways...

Oh!! The Twi-Tards are out of hand...Seriously, check out this link. I mean, I know "Twilight" is an "international sensation", but COME ON, PEOPLE!!! IT'S NOT WORTH MAKING AN ASS OUT OF YOURSELF JUST BECAUSE PEOPLE DON'T AGREE WITH YOU!!! I think the Twi-Tards may have caught the uber rabies...

Well, that's it for now. Stay classy, Otakuites!

Excel~

How I Found Love

She hurried out of her College Algebra class, wanting to escape the crowd of strangers. It being Halloween, she wore a black skirt that came to the middle of her shins, a black blouse with purple flowers, black fishnet stockings, sexy black heels, and a long black hooded cape. Coming out of the room, she noticed the students waiting in the hall for their next class. She noticed one in particular. He wore a familiar black cloak with red clouds and a coolie hat with white strips of fabric hanging from it. He looks like Itachi, but he has blonde hair, she thought to herself.

***

It was lunch time. She sat with her roommate at a round table near the pizza bar. They made small talk, mainly commenting on how their days had been going. She glanced around the cafeteria, uninterested in the disgusting food. They'd somehow managed to screw up pizza, of all things. She caught sight of the familiar cloak again. He was sitting just one table over. "Hey, do you know who that guy is?" she asked her roommate, indicating the boy. "No. Why don't you ask him?" came the reply.

She mustered all the courage she could find in her small body and stood up. She walked over to his table, glancing at all the strange faces around him. No one noticed her. "Excuse me," she said, tapping the boy on the shoulder, "but I've seen you around campus all day, and your costume looks very familiar. I know you're not Itachi, but you belong to his group. Who are you?" He looked up from his food and smiled at her. "Well, do you want my character's name, or my real name?" he asked. "Both would be nice," she smiled back. He gave his reply and she thanked him and hurriedly returned to her seat.

A few minutes later, he came over and sat next to her. "Hi again. Do you mind if I take your picture?" He held up his camera. "No, not at all," she said, standing. He snapped the picture and thanked her.

It was two days after they'd met. She was talking to him over a popular networking site, waiting for the couple of hours to slide by so she could go watch the horror movie double feature with her roommate and another friend. She told him of her plans and asked if he'd like to join them. He agreed, and later they met up to watch the horror movies.

***

The four, along with another girl who knew them, decided during the time between the two horror movies that they were bored with the cheap thrills offered by the 80s. "We could go to my room and do our own dubbing of some anime," offered one of them. The five agreed and were soon underway with a special dubbing of Yu Yu Hakusho.

The girl's roommate, not really into anime, soon wandered off. The girl from the double feature also made her excuses and left. The three remaining students talked over what they should do. The girl began poking the boy, which soon turned into a poke war. "Hang on!" she suddenly exclaimed. "I'll go get my camera and we can make a movie!" She ran up to her room, grabbed her camera, and returned. They commenced the filming of the poke war, which ended with the boy losing his soul to the girl.

It was three weeks after they'd met. They were, once again, talking over the networking site. He'd been to an anime convention the day before. "Ok.
I have to go home and get rid of some of the things I got at the con. I was wondering if you would come along, but it sounds like you're busy," he said. She replied, "Oh, I'll come!! I only needed to run to WalMart to get clear tape...It can wait, if you still want me to tag along." The plans were made and the two met up.

***

The two were soon back in the town wherein their college was contained. Sitting in his van while he pumped gas, she thought, He's never going to ask me out. I like him so much, but I don't think he returns those feelings. He soon finished filling the van and they headed towards the college. Feeling awkward in the silence, she began to poke him. He burst into a fit of laughter. "What is it?" she asked, confused. "No, nothing, you'll hate me forever if I say it," was his reply. She poked him again. "Go ahead and say it. I'm sure I won't hate you." He sighed heavily. "Will you be my girlfriend?" he asked. Her heart nearly stopped. He just asked me out! This is what I've been waiting for! This kind of thing never happens to me! Oh, dear, what do I do? Oh! He's probably waiting for an answer! She smiled up at him and answered, "Sure!"

Eleven months later, the two lay in his bed. He looked into her hazel eyes, melting her heart. His hand stroked her frizzy red hair. "You're beautiful, you know that?" he said. She blushed and hugged him tightly. Eyes watering a bit, she said, "You must be an angel." He laughed softly, holding her back to look at her again. "If I'm an angel, then you must be the Norse goddess Freyja. You're the most beautiful girl I know." She blushed again and buried her face in his shoulder. "I love you more than I think you realize," he said softly. "No, I realize how much you love me," she replied, "because I love you just as much."
