I would calmly take him to a public place like they said and talk it out there. It might be a little rough at first, it was when I tried talking to my parents about their drinking habits, but it paid off. ^^ Stay strong and hold your head high. There is always light at the end of the tunnel. ^^

Hey, Werner it'll be fine because bad times never last...there are always good times ahead! I'll pray that everything will be ok...we never have any alcohol problems because my religion prohibits it so i don't really know but temper runs high in my family and we have had many scenes but I always fight back, mainly because I think that thats my right...but staying patient in a situation like this, you showed great resilience...I guess you should get your brother some professional help and just try to reason with him calmly but firmly and not at home...take him someplace public so that he doesn't make a scene...I'm not at all good at giving advice but I hope that helps :) Stay strong, dear friend :) We're here for you :) And whenever you need to talk, just do...

Alcohol can have some nasty affects on people, and I'm sorry your brother is one of those people. But don't hate on everyone who does drink (Not saying you are, just saying something to keep in mind). Not everyone acts like that when drunk or when they have a couple to drink.
You just have to keep your head up. Has your brother considered getting help? He sounds like an alcoholic.
Ah yes, that's very true. Drunk people never realize they're wrong until they really hurt someone, and even then they try to blame something else. But let`s hope your brother realizes sooner rather than later.

Sorry to hear that. :( It's really a bummer when those you love most say hurtful things, even though you know they don't really mean it. I hope your brother comes around. I know they have alcohol anonymous groups here, but I'm not sure if they have groups where you are that might help him. Maybe all he needs is someone to talk to and that drinking is his way of coping?

I have never had to deal with alcohol but I did have to deal with a brother who has gotten angry at me and family problems at times, so I can understand :) I find that it always helps to pray when things like this happen. Trials like this will just make us stronger if we commit everything to Him.
As for your attitude toward your brother now, I think you should have tough love with him. He wasn't in his right mind when calling you names and drinking like this. And its very good that you didn't fight him. Stay strong and don't give in. Pray, and I'll pray for you all too <3 I'm sure your brother will turn around with us praying for him. I hope your mom gets well soon and your dad is safe too.
