Yeah, I have heard some rather bad things about the manga - though most of what I hear has little to do with the translation. I do like the show, even if I doubt I'll ever get around to reading the manga.

Hooray for X! ^^
Admittedly I haven't been too interested in much from CLAMP, but I do enjoy this series very much. I like the anime more than the manga, because although the art is beautiful, I just think the translation is very... B-grade. At least it was the first time I read it. Actually this was the first manga I ever tried reading but it almost made me not want to read any more. But then I discovered the excellent Kaori Yuki and her Angel Sanctuary series. :)
