From what I know the sound effects were something of a stabbing noise or what you hear when you stab someone. Something like that.
Oh but it's horrible how he kills the cast like that.

*sigh* Don't worry...Killing off half of Akatsuki was actually necessary, due to Madara's Tobi's plan. He won't kill Hinata...He only had to hurt her to get Naruto to go farther than 4 tails. And on the off-chance that Hinata's dead, my nee-san Sako is going to summon Ra to deal with Kishimoto. I'm also going to build her an army of puppets for backup.

Someone's a little death obsessive no? =_= I don't like people who kill off all their characters during books.
