They're rumored to cause deaths by spotting them three times, other occasions, it's just once. Thought I've never seen one in real life for myself, I don't think it's a good idea to find out if it's true or not. I honestly think that it's only the incompetance and bad luck of the person that spotted them though that just wasn't paying attention to something. I really don't think it has much to do with the hell hound

He did it to try and scare us... we weren't supposed to be in there after hours though. I kept my eyes shut because it could've been a possibility a black shuck (hellhound) could've been there... they've been spotted mostly in Kentucky and in Illinois graveyards
