To make black soul gems you need the following:
1. Soul capture spell at any strength
2. x amount of Grand Soul gems
You need to go to The Dark Fissure, which can be found doing one of the Mage's Guild quests. On certain days, there will be a purple light over head. If you put x G. Soul Gems in the alter when the light is overhead, and use soul capt., when you take the gems out, They will be black.
