The DC and Marvel Heroes Forum: Injustice: Gods Among Us

Today's topic on The DC and Marvel Heroes Forum is all about Injustice: Gods Among Us, the new DC Universe-based video game from the makers of Mortal Combat. While I never played the video game myself, I find that the visual look of of the game itself, from what I have seen on Reviews of the Run and on the internet anyway, are very impressive, especially when the designs for the DC Universe characters look like the kind that could translate well into live-action filmed media without any drastic need for alteration. Anyway, here are some questions to think about as you take part in this forum post, that is if you played the game: What is the game play like? What do you find to be the strengths and weaknesses of this video game? Do you find this game worth playing, even in comparison/contrast to previous DC Universe video games? Would you say this video game could serve as good introduction to all things DC Universe for video game players who have never read a comic book before? Do you think this game has the potential of encouraging former comic book-reading gamers to return to reading comic book stories of the DC Universe's heroes and villains? Would you like to see this video game get a movie treatment in the future, regardless of format (live-action or animated)?

News: Infinite Crisis Online Game to Launch Summer 2013

Today, DCComics.com reveals that DC Comics and WB Interactive will launch a free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena game based on DC Universe characters in summer 2013. This upcoming game, titled "Infinite Crisis", will involve alternate universe versions of a number of DC Universe heroes and villains coming together into battle, and although not part of the DC Universe Canon, its depiction of the multiverse will resemble or adapt the Post-Infinite Crisis DC Multivere (apart from costume designs) from DC Universe canon continuity. To learn more, visit the upcoming game's website at www.infinitecrisis.com/en. I'll end the post with a promo image for the game I found at ComicsAlliance so you get the idea of what to expect.
