News: Steel To Join The DCnU Comics

Today, DC Comics reveals that DC Comics character John Henry Iron (Steel) will be making a come-back in comics. This time, Steel's history is being revised for the "DC Comics: The New 52" universe (shortly known as the DCnU), the setting of the currently running 52 ongoing mainstream continuity "DC Universe" comic book series. Look out for the debut of this new incarnation of the armored superhero in "Action Comics" Vol. 2 No. 4, to be released on Dec. 7 with the character's next appearance to happen in "Action Comics" Vol. 2 No.7.

News: X-Schism Trade Paperback

"Schism", the big X-Men comic book story arc event of 2011, in case you missed at least an issue or so, will be collected in one trade paperback to be released. This papaerback, labelled "X-Schism", is scheduled by Marvel for release on Dec. 28, and it story arc consists of "X-Men: Schism" (a miniseries), "Generation Hope" No. 10-11, and the one-shot "X-Men: Regenesis", which details the prelude to two recently launched ongoing series: "Wolverine and the X-Men" and "Uncanny X-Men" (Vol. 2).

In this storyarc set in the main Marvel Universe (Earth-616), as humankind continues to oppose mutantkind, the X-Men face a dangerous moment that will forever change their lives, especially this moment turns into a turning point when members find themselves split into two opposing ends: one lead by Scott Summers/Cylops and the other led by James "Logan" Howlett/Wolverine.

News: Origin of DCnU's LOSH To Appear in Comics

Next week, DC Comics will be releasing part 1 of a six-part comic book miniseries featuring the Legion of Super-Heroes. This one is titled "Legion: Secret Origin" and will depict the origins of the future-based superhero organization itself, according to the history of newly-formed mainstream DC Universe where all the new 52 ongoing "DC Universe" comic book series are set. Yes I'm talking the DC Universe formed at the end of DC's "Flashpoint" (2nd series).

So far, DC debuted two miniseries set in the new mainstream DC universe: "Penguin: Pain and Prejudice" (depicting the origins of the DCnU's incarnation of DC Universe villain The Penguin) and "The Huntress" (Vol. 3).
