News: Mr. Freeze To Join in DCnU Comics

DC Comics.com announces that DC comics super-villain Mr. Freeze will be making a come back in Batman Annual (Vol. 2) No. 1, which is scheduled for release in May. While this comic book annual will be the first to be set in the universe of "DC Comics: The New 52", it will expand on the "Night of the Owls" story arc, which are to be divided into chapters collected in Batman (Vol. 2) starting with Issue No. 9 (no. 8 will feature prelude to the storyarc itself), and explore Mr. Freeze's connection wit the Court of Owls, with whom Batman is dealing in the opening story arc of Batman(Vol. 2)

News: Another X-Men Motion Comic by Marvel Knights Animation

Marvel.com announced yesterday that on April 10, Marvel Knights Animation and Shout! Factory will be releasing their 2nd made-for-dvd X-Men motion comic (the first one was Astonishing X-Men: Gifted). This one, titled Astonishing X-Men: Dangerous, will be an adaptation of the story arc told in Astonishing X-Men Vol. 3 No. 7 through 12.

Story: The X-Men find themselves in a a battle against a villain who is plotting from within the Xavier Mansion to assassinate them with his knowledge of their powers and weaknesses, only to learn that one of them may be a sell out.

News: More New Watchmen Limited Series

After over 2 decades, the critically-acclaimed comic book limited series Watchmen will finally be spinning off a number of prequel comic book limited series, according to DCComics.com. Though release dates aren't yet announced, there are seven limited series planned and are to fall under collective banner Before Watchmen, with each series to center around a particular character or group from the Watchmen Universe. Anyway, here are the series below:

  • RORSCHACH (4 issues)
  • MINUTEMEN (6 issues)
  • COMEDIAN (6 issues)
  • DR. MANHATTAN (4 issues)
  • NITE OWL (4 issues)

News: Batman: Odyssey Hardcover to Arrive Fall 2012

DC Comics.com reveals today that DC Comics will be releasing the Batman: Odyssey hardcover book, scheduled for this Fall. It will collect all issues of Batman: Odyssey (both comic book series volumes 1 and 2) so as to let you, the readers, read at one time, the entirety of legendary Batman artist Neal Adam's tale of Batman's grim and gritty struggle to escape insanity as he experiences a series of unrelated and odd scenarios in which allies and foes push him to a new edge.
