    @SmallxLady:

    Well, you can at least ask them if they could just simply relocate the groundhogs. At the very least, they'll probably just say no.

    It seems to be that time of year where animals take homage under property again. I've never heard of Groundhogs that whine and bark though. We used to have a few Groundhogs in our front lawn a few years ago and I think we used some sort of repellant to keep them from coming back and digging up our yard. I'm not sure what Animal Control will do if you called them, but I'm sure that they won't hurt them since harming animals is against what they're supposed to do, but I'm assuming that they may just get them out and either relocate them (like Darkarax said) or keep them in some sort of shelter for the time being? If they're aggressive, you may want to give them a call and have the Groundhogs removed off the premises right away before they do anymore damage, let alone harm your pets.

    @Darkarax:

    Im not sure thats the thing = I dont wanna hurt them but at the same time they cant stay here because theyre agressive. I dont want them to hurt the dogs or anyone here you know? Plus given my experience with animal control they wont do much....than again that was the north carolina animal control.

    I'm guessing animal control would simply relocate those groundhogs if you asked. But then I'm no expert on this sort of thing, so I could be wrong.
