Righting a Wrong:

Continued From: A Difficult Discussion with the Mentor

In the back of his mind, Tsukiro knew it would be a futile attempt, however, he was compelled to try anyway.

Tsukiro hiked up the steps to the elevated First District. He looked up and set his sights on the prison that set literally next door to the First Division barracks. He sighed and made the last leg of his trek across the Seireitei to the prison.

A while later, he arrived at the front gates of the prison.

“Halt! State your intentions!” one of the guards held up his hand.

“Tenth Division, Eighth Seat Tsukiro Ashimitsu. I’m here on errands. Let me through.”

“Sorry. No chance. No one is to go through these doors. Head Captain’s orders,” the other answered.

“Is it because of the Seraph?” I narrowed my eyes at them.

“That’s none of your business! Now get lost!”

Walking away defeated, Tsukiro huffed. He should have known that would happen. Yamamoto had the Seraph in the palm of his hand now. There would be no way he would let anyone near her for fear of losing her. He paused and turned around, looking up at the prison.

I guess I could sneak in… He thought over that briefly before shaking his head and continued walking. No. That would be a suicide run. Of course Yamamoto would up the security. I’d have no chance of getting in and out undetected…
