At its Anime Central industry panel on Saturday evening, FUNimation Entertainment announced its acquisition of Romeo X Juliet, Gonzo's 24-episode science-fiction take on the William Shakespeare play. It will be released in two half-season boxes, with the first due out sometime in the spring of 2009.
YES!! FINALLY!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Heh, I'm excited, can you tell? And I like the sound of that, two half-season box sets. That's the kind of release I think the industry needs to switch to for the majority of things. It saves money and space over single disc releases, not to mention time.
Haha, it IS coming out in May. Everyone had joked that Ouran would come out in May since everything else by FUNi' was coming out this month . . . but wow, go fig'.
