Movie Critique: Summer Wars

Summer Wars is a sci-fi anime film that came out in 2009 and was directed by Mamoru Hosoda.

Kenji Koiso, a mathematically gifted teenager, is met with a request from Natsuki Shinohara, one of the most popular girls in school, to take a trip to Ueda for a family get together. It is Natsuki's grandmother's 90th birthday.
Summer Wars introduces this idea that there is a large world wide network, Oz, that everyone in the world depends on. Oz can be used for conducting business deals, paying taxes, and even online shopping.
During Kanji's visit, Oz is suddenly hacked by an AI named Love Machine. When Kenji gets blamed for being the controller of Love Machine, the Jinnouchi household suddenly goes crazy. Love Machine is trashing the network of Oz. Oz =has control over water pressure, Traffic signals, GPS, and even emergency calls. Kenji must help defeat Love Machine to get the world back in order.
While Natsuki and Kenji are the main characters, the real person who brings this whole movie together is Natsuki's 90 year old grandmother.
Summer Wars offers startling plot twists and an amazing story of family and perseverance. Summer Wars is a definite must see, and a good buy.

Game Critique: Persona 4

Many people are familiar with the Persona series, Persona 4 being the most popular. So I thought I'd give my hand at it.

Persona 4 has a very unique gameplay. Being an RPG, you can run around, do small errands, and complete fun tasks. Each task comes with special rewards. Most of them being the equivalent of a level up. With most tasks and small events you can raise your friendship meter with your fellow students and even a fox. Each 1 up on your friendship meters allows yourself the chance to make your "Persona" stronger. The higher the friendship meter, the higher level of Persona you can create. Yes, I said create a Persona. You can combine Persona's to create a much stronger Persona. The character you play can have more the one, offering this fun opportunity.
Persona 4 is also amazing on the story side. The idea the creators made for this game is absolutely outstanding. Murders, a strange fog, and a twist ending that proves the murderer to be -----. Now what good would this be if I spoiled the ending for you? Something fun and aggravating about this game is that there are 3 different possible endings for the game. A good, a bad, and the actual ending.
This game is one for the console, people. If you have not tried any of the Persona games, then make this one the first try of the quartet. Persona 4 is not a game you will soon forget.
