    Yes, it was a discussion question in a forum: "Do Pen Names Affect What You Read?". The reason behind the discrimination is that their stories would read like a bad anime fan fiction.

    (On a side note, someone also said that she wouldn't read someone's work if their username (called a "pen name") contained the word "teenybopper". But who refers to himself/herself as a teenybopper?)

    Thanks for the suggestion. (I actually did do that with my creative writing piece, but I think it wise widely looked-over. xP) ^^

    About FictionPress, that's crazy that people judge it just from the writer's username. 0_o Yikes.

    You should be glad this isn't FictionPress. The anime fans and the non-anime fans are extremely divided. Some non-anime fans won't even read the works of others if they have Japanese-sounding usernames.

    My suggestion is to add a pronunciation guide somewhere. That could help. (That's probably what I should have done with "Rebels", come to think of it.)
