Simple, because we're also idealists and we think that maybe other people can do things good enough so we can finally take a break. Sadly, we're usually disappointed. :-)

You know, the whole "being upset because others aren't trying as hard as I am" is inevitable if you are a perfectionist, so... why put those same expectations on others when you KNOW you're a perfectionist?
And I feel I stopped making sense halfway through that last sentence.
