Is MySims A Good Game?

I've played the E-rated MySims for Wii and MySims Kingdom and MySims for the Nintendo DS, sure. But what about the T-rated MySims games? Are they any good? I'm used to using Essences to build houses and furniture and to trying to rebuild the waste of my old town, usually called Forks, LaLaLand, Candyland, Briarwoods, or Tokyo. But what's with MySims? What are they about and how do you play them? I want to try them out. How much do they cost? Where can I get them? If one is pirated, how will I know the difference between the pirated version and the real deal? For those who answer, thank you very much!
