The only reason I'm debating Trigun and Bebop are because I've already seen them whole, but not in order.

I'd definitely recommend Trigun. It's the only one on that list that I've seen. ^^ The others, I have no idea if they're any good or not. But Trigun, I enjoyed a lot.

First off, booyah for Avatar. Place Promised in Our Early Days was so-so. I've heard almost strictly good about RahXephon, though I've yet to see it myself, and I've heard almost strictly "oh my god I can't believe I watched that" about Mnemosyne. I'm not touching it with a 10-foot pole. I've seen a couple episodes of Blue Gender, but not enough to really form an opinion.

Ever played professionally? It can be quite enjoyable as well.

I hope you enjoy .hack SIGN and NOIR! I also recommend you go with Rahxephon, it's one of the best psychological mech series out there.

I seem to remember one McCaffrey book with dragon sex that translated to human orgasims, but it was a long time ago. I only read 4 sword of truth books, and I thought they just got weirder as they went on, so I started reading other stuff instead.

That is because sex sells. And McCaffrey does not, so there are exceptions. But I didn't say Goodkind was sexually explicit so much as I was indicating he crosses a good many boundaries—physical, sexual, and psychological.

Thing with him, though, is his stuff is real, and I can deal with real. I cannot deal with contrivances.

RahXephon: A more boring and nonsensical Eva.

I think most of the sex and violence in Mnemosyne serves to build character and story, but there might be a bit of fanservicey stuff that I don't remember. (It has been a while since I watched it.)

RahXephon is very good. I gained a new respect for its storytelling during my last rewatch. Everything fits together much better and unfolds more efficiently than I remembered.

I have read the Sword Of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. I think I can handle graphic.

The question is, is it gratuitous fanservice or does it actually have bearing on the story? (That goes for both violence and sexual content; I think I may go ahead with it and find out for myself, though.)
