Well, you should enjoy the new bbcode tag that I added to OB yesterday especially for you after seeing this post. It'll let you indent properly, and across the whole forum, without having to know the CSS for it.
That's the HTML entity for a "non-breaking space."
Given that I don't even know the HTML lingo, I think I was pretty durn close; that's what it is, and I reasoned based on what it does. Pretty much the same.
Hehehe! XD You've been had! You're starting to think of poetry without even realizing it! *laughs* I find that very amusing. ^_~ I like the poem too.
I've seen that paticular little trick used on OB, I like it because the indent tag forces in extra space that you don't want were that little trick doesn't. So the formating is a little nicer looking in a post.
That's the HTML entity for a "non-breaking space." Putting a bunch in a row forces the browser to render more than one space in a row, which it normally won't do. It's a pretty sloppy way of indenting (using the CSS text-indent style is much better) but I suppose there's no other choice on Worlds. Though I'm surprised they're allowed on Worlds at all since other HTML isn't.
It only works in a few forums on OB because it's an HTML entity and HTML isn't allowed in most forums.
Ya. See, I'm a kind of Blue Mage of the internets. I saw someone post some indented stuff over at OB, and I immediately looked to see what they did.
Apparently it's the & symbol followed immediately by "nbsp; ", space included—which I assume roughly translates to "and no backspace"—and that combination gives you one maintained space.
And testing to see if it holds in the comment block. Apparently the Anthology is the only forum that supports that code at OB, so I have to check.
Just goes to show how little control we have over our own thinking processes. So, we should just forgive each other for those involuntary "that's what she said" comments. =P
Nice little ditty, btw. Quite character defining. XP

Oh definitely... go Sabrina! Hahaha! That's just great, you were doing poetry without even realizing it. Sweet. Hehe.
So you figured out some code, I have as well, but I was asked to not pass it on so I won't. But I will play with what you figured out.
One space.
Two spaces.
Nice.
