Xiaolin Showdown Fanfiction

Chapter 2:

Kai continued dragging Jack out the door, said good-bye to her aunt and uncle, and signaled both her and Jack's dates. "CLAY~! RAIMUNDO~!"

"Hey, Kai!" They chimed.

"SHOOT!" Jack whispered hoarsely to Kai. "Get me outta here!!!"

Kai blatenly ignored him and continued over to Clay and Raimundo. "Sorry I'm late; we were having some preparation issues."

"It's not a problem, ma'am." Clay opened the limo door. With a slight laugh, Kai ducked in with Jack not too far behind.

"Could you have been any later?" Raimundo complained. "What took ya so long?"

"Rai...." Clay facepalmed.

"Again, sorry. But my cousin here took her sweet time getting ready." Kai pulled Jack closer.

"Your cousin???"

"Yep. Meet Jackie!" Within ten minutes, everyone was acquainted. And thanks to some higher deity, neither Clay nor Raimundo had any idea that Jackie was really Jack. However, as Kai was chatting with the two Xaolin warriors, this gave Jack the chance he needed to to make sure that he had an escape route if needed. Tinted limo windows, indestructible. Doors, locked. And the only open door was the one Raimundo was sitting by. If he could only move...or if only Jack could get Rai to move, the he could possibly slip out...

"See something you like, Jackie?" Rai leaned close with a flirtatious look. "Because I think you were staring at me."

Jack couldn't help it. Rai looked incredibly dashing in the tuxedo that he chose for the dance. The way the black contrasted his brown hair, and those forest green eyes just captured his attention. Wait, what was he thinking?! Rai is a guy, and although he's in drag with no thanks to Kai, Jack was still a guy too!!! It just wasn't right!!!

"I-I-" For some reason, a blush creeped it's way over Jack's face. "I couldn't help but notice..."

"Notice what, hm?" Not again with the flirty glance.

"Never mind." Jack looked out the window to avoid the terrible and infectious gaze.

"What's with your cousin?" Clay nudged Kai. "She seems awfully shifty."

"Don't worry about her. She's just shyyyyy."

Shy, my ass. I'm a guy getting hit on by another guy. Am I supposed to be enjoying this??? Jack thought as Raimundo inched closer, enjoying his new blushing toy.

"Kai did say that she set me up with someone cool. But I never thought that she would be this cool."

"Raimundo, hold your horses."

"Clay's right. You're going to run out of reasons to flirt if you keep this up." Kai nudged Rai.

Rai laughed his clear and innocent laugh. "I don't think I could ever run out of reasons to talk to Jackie."

What?!?!?!?! I outta-

"Rai, you are such a player!!" With a half-hearted punch, Kai also joined in on the laughter.

"Hey, K-Kai? W-When are we going to get there?" Jack - er, Jackie - lightly tugged on Kai's green strap.

"We're already here!" She jumped out of the limo, but not before issuing a warning to Jackie. "Pull on my strap again, and I'll kill you."

Damn she's scary when mad.

"C'mon, Jackie. We're gonna miss the entire dance!" Raimundo gently took Jackie's hand and escorted her - him - in.

And behind Jackie stood a victorious-looking redhead girl in a lime green dress.
