I like the freezer for other things as well. If you get ambitious one weekend and make a couple dozen waffles or so, those freeze really well and make a great quick morning munchy now and again.
Once in a while I have one of those eureka moment though, followed by the obligatory "how could I be so stupid for not realizing it earlier?" moments.
