Haha I was wondering when that had randomly showed up in my backroom. I haven't been on a few days so when I got to my backroom today I was like "Oh, well isn't that interesting."
I think it's a great idea. It might help people get more comments like they're always complaining that they need. Hmmm . . . I wonder who has me as a random update right now . . .

Personally, it's just getting in my way. I have no idea who these people are and most of the posts are just blogs about their daily life. Frankly, I don't know you, I don't care. But that's my take.

Eh, that's a neat idea, I guess...like others have said, it harks back to the 'random member' link back at myOtaku. Though I agree, put it underneath my actual subscriptions. Or, you know, implement the random member link again.

If there is one thing that I run across constantly, it is the embracing of randomness. Seriously, that's what made things at this site, and the old myOtaku blog, so interesting. It's the potential to go off and find something random at the click of a link.

I should mention this little oddity: When I submitted a new fanart, it showed up in the random link. I'm pretty sure that I'm already familiar with myself. (Or am I? Lousy philosophical problems...)

Hmm, random submission/post display then? Not a bad idea but the placement could be better (Member Subscriptions should come first) and if it is just random then renaming it to make that a little more obvious would be nice.

It's a cool idea, hearkens back to the days of the "random member" links we had on MyOtaku once upon a lifetime ago.

You have one little problem that will make or break the feature. The first "Random Update" that showed for me was to a private World (ie returns an error when you click the link). I like the feature, so I'd hate to see it become unpopular for linking to those error pages a lot. If there's a way to filter out private Worlds from showing there (defeats the purpose to show updates for worlds set to "Private" anyway, don't you think?), would make it all the better.
