I'm caught between a World's portal and a news page. However, I'm likely to lean more to a news page. There should be some sort of front page attention-grabber, instead of having something buried in the universe of Worlds.
I think the portal's a good idea. Right now I'm not really sure where to find the rest of theO's community and I feel a mite cut off by having to search for something quite specific to get the chance to see someone, aside from the Fan Words that spring up on the main page. Although I might just be doing it wrong :p
I think timechaser and Desbreko covered it well. News is unofficially covered for you for now, you don't need to worry about that just yet, and Des really hit it with the community aspect the site appears to have going for it now. It just needs some help along the way. It would build a stronger community here to have that World's Portal so we could find others with similar interests (it means I'll have to not be lazy and actually tag my posts, but I'll do that). A member list might be a quick solution, but long term the Worlds Portal would probably be better.

It's a hard choice but I'm inclined to say a Worlds portal. Being able to find Worlds where people are posting about stuff you're interested in would make it easier to get to know more people on the site and make new friends. It seems like the community aspect has become a major part of the site, much more so than news, and I think a Worlds portal would encourage that more than a simple members list.
I would say that the members list is, just because the news doenst deal with what I am interested in, and I dont know what you mean by the worlds portal...=/

Well for now we have the Bootleg News Reporter for news, so I wouldn't worry about that too much. You could work on the other two first.
