Wow, this is an incredibly expressive piece of art...much more than many wallpapers out there. I especially like/am impressed by the fact that you really captured a part of Alex's character (in addition to the Last Exile art style) with a drawing you created yourself (not, say, a screencap or reappropriated stock imagery). Awesome job!

First off... Thank you, thank you for the comment. ^^ Tis much appreciated. Now, as for making it... I first took a stylized drawing that I did of Alex into photoshop and deleted all the white, or positive, space around him. Then I used Terragen (available here- http://www.planetside.co.uk/terragen/ ) to create the background. I ended up taking that picture into Adobe Photoshop as well to help give it the look I really wanted for it. So, the answer would have to be Adobe Photoshop 5.0 and Terragen. ^^;
