Typography is really tough and the only way to learn is to practice and practice and practice. I failed a lot with it at first, but then I found my comfort zone and it's one of my favorite things now (:

The images and the textures work really well and definitely show an improvement. I suggest you play around with font type and position more. Get creative! Experiment! Never know what you'll discover when you play around (:
