I think it's a pretty good work technically-wise and the pastel colors look better than stronger ones, but I for one would've gone with the coloring of the original scan for the bows and leaves. It's a personal preference, but I feel the more grayish tones of the original image fit each other much better than the brighter pink and green you used. Again, just personal preference.

For this version, I'd suggest adding some small highlights on the hair, along the edges of the hair strands - not something very visible, just enough to keep it from being flat. If you don't want to add highlights, then a light texture will do. As it is, it's missing that small "oomph" to really make it stand out.

However, the vectoring's great and the pink/cyan contrast on her blouse is wonderful, not to mention the small purple and pink bubbles in the background (they're small but keep everything from looking too empty). Keep up the good work and hoping to see more from you! :)
