i just played around with the color balance thing just now

the colorizer is weird. i use the color-balance, the color balance tool just changes the color of the shadows, highlights, and midtones of the picture, basically editing the colors and u can even mix colors such as Red and yellow, the colorizer just makes it one color. the color balance doesn't do that. i change the brightness/contrast, then i edit the colors and add extra effects like brushes or text.
here are some good examples of "color-balanced" walls i've made.

edited the colors and made it very red and orangish making it look like fire.

and i also use the hue-saturation tool which makes some colors brighter.
i like messing around with colors. when i'm not using brushes i edit the brightness and colors, but when i use brushes i just change the brightness/contrast then add brushes and text.
