At least once during the story they come to a big stone on the crossing of three roads on which is written what will happen if someone goes each of the roads (like the death of one's horse, one's own death, etc). Of course the hero choses the most dangerous way.
I often associate characters in Bleach with characters of Russian folklore, that's strange...
