from what i've been able to tell, if you tilt Kaoru's head on it's left, his bangs make a "K", sort of. That's how I tell.

Kaoru usually has his hair parted to the left, and also his voice is 'rougher'/higher than Hikaru's (Kaoru is my fave, lol)
