Join my World? Do you mean being able to post on one of them? Or just comment on a post? Or do you mean like being friends? (for the last, you click on the 'Subscribers+' with the heart on the profile to get notifications when that person submits something.
For your profile picture, go to your backroom, then highlight "Profile" and click on "Avatar" There you can upload a new avi for yourself ^_^
Yep for wallpapers, you can go to your backroom highlight "Quick Submit" and select wallpapers, while you're new it will have to go through a mod first so give it up to 24 hours for it to show up on your profile.

you can also join challenges and see if you can win yourself a medal!
