It isn't that great, really. It was based off of a different Negima manga called Negima Neo.
They are making 3 OAD episodes based off of some of the original manga chapters and if they sell well in Japan, they might make another season of Negima (hopefully based on the current arc in the manga or the previous arc ^_^)

I watched the first anime and about 8 episodes of the 2nd (can't find the rest) and I have read 241 (or was it 240?) chapters of the manga online on onemanga.com ^_^
