Just for the curiosity, if I was to buy 4Kids, I would want the studio/broadcaster to just stick with producing original U.S. shows for kids since it seems nowadays it's getting hard for U.S. networks to find Anime they can show in youth audience-targeted timelslots without having to modify or delete anything, especially when there are probably lots of Anime that are entirely/partly meant for Japanese kids to enjoy that contain violence, profanity, and subject matures considered inappropriate for U.S. kids by U.S. media standards.
I'd buy it then force everyone to re-release all of the anime 4Kids did but uncut. Mew Mew Power would then be released to the US public under the original name, Tokyo Mew Mew. I would then die happy. ;O;
Then after five years and after making sure all of the animes have been re-dubbed, I would run the company to the ground and sell off the anime licenses to VIZ, Funimation, and who ever else wants them. 8D

But anyway. I feel like 4Kids could just die off at this point and the industry wouldn't be that affected. I mean, other existing anime licensing companies could just pick up whatever got left behind. And then maybe we can finally see riceballs in Pokemon instead of "jelly doughnuts." =_=;;

I would buy it. I'd make sure they'd release anime just like they would in Japan. I'm pretty sure Ash (Satoshi) says damn and hell in Japanese, so why not release it that way in English. Besides, kids are gonna end up swearing anyway when they grow up.

This may lead to an uncertain future for 4Kids-produced U.S. shows like "Chaotic" and the currently running "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" series. I mean, will these get to continue on with new producers in charge,, or will they be declared "cancelled"?
As for non-4Kids produced that currently air on the CW like "Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight", it's likely they'll still continue running after 4Kids is bought.

Y'know... I can't help but feel a bit sad. I mean this was the company that brought us Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! and some not so good dubs. That's right, I liked the Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! dubs. Not the edits though... stupid 4Kids. Without them I wouldn't know what good anime was.
Also with 4Kids gone, who do we go to for poking fun at bad dubs? A 4Kids joke in the anime and otaku community is like a "yo momma" joke: everyone knows at least one and you either laugh or cry after hearing it.
I dunno about y'all, but I'm gonna miss it. Not like a loved one, but like an actor or over-rated singer I cared little for.

But, in the end, it would be sad if it's true and they really are up for sale. 4 Kids featured my earliest animes, so I'm grateful for that ^_^
