Kindaichi? Been a long time since I've read that. Don't remember how it ended though, besides, everyone else has movie stars and what not in high positions, so why not a manga artist?

If Americans could get an actor as President and an Austrian as a Governor of California, it will be no shock to me if the Japanese can get a manga artist as a legislator. They've got an otaku as PM, so why not?
However the real question is will he succumb to politics and sell his values for a seat or will he stay true to whatever he believes politically and face losing? No matter the age, the gender, nation, or race, all politicians have to face this.
