Thank god!. If your not going to make the movie faithfully to the story and characters then i preferred they don't make the movie at all, the game is enough for me, i don't want to see something so awesome being destroyed >_> pfft family guardians what the hell...
Rule number one by making a movie based on video games these days: "Make it appealing and worthy of the fans." Is there other reason to make a movie then to them?
I mean really! And mostly video game adaptation movies fail, so it could have been the case with this one as well.
Not familiar with this game or movie project, but saw the words everyman-action-survivor-treasure-thief and thought, "Awesome!"
Time to investigate something new!

So instead of making an Indiana Jones type movie, he wanted to make a National Treasure type movie.
I don't think that was a wise idea given what he was using as the basis. :/
