Its interesting that this happens when Science Channel is soon to re-run Firefly. Yep, Science Channel, not SyFy.

Yeah. Like, even the site itself is telling people not to donate anything yet on account that there's nothing set up to donate anything yet.
Everyone knows this is pretty much the longest shot in the world, and that the moment all the big names like Nathan or Joss say "stop it", it ends.
But hey, if they actually do go through the proper channels and actually set this up in the proper way . . . this'll make for a hell of a story.
I'm fairly certain he wasn't be completely serious with that statement, but of course some fans take things too literally.
He also asked fans on his twitter(I cant believe Im citing that) to not donate, and just continue moral support.
