Yeah, at least the young Dende in the Namek saga. Im not sure about the older dende in the Android or Buu arcs though. But her credits page on ANN lists Dende, so I would assume its from the first appearance to the end of Kai.
I know, I read the article on Kotaku as well. Just wanted to point that out. I think its quite remarkable that someone in Japan is stepping away from an established pattern. They dont like to stand out too much, god forbid someone doesn't like or anything like that.
She does. Just that the past year or so she's been quite happy to distance herself from that idol status most VAs live. She's acting in dramas more, going onto variety shows, and talking about how she has relationships(!) with men(!!!). Stuff like that.
Some of her idolizers aren't taking her approach too kindly. And apparently she's fine with that.
Although I'm not a huge fan of Aya Hirano, I still wish you could change the language setting on Dissidia (or any FF, for that matter) for the heck of it.
It'd be kind of cool hearing her voice, along with others'.

Yay~ I'm so glad Aya-chan didn't quit! She's very strong, even with the brain tumor. I love Aya Hirano!

Hasnt Aya been doing the voice for a character in Fairy Tail for the last couple years?
Not to mention Dende in Dragon Ball Kai. . .
