They've been rather quiet about this follow-up since it was announced what, last year? I suppose the reprise of FMA and other new series got in the way. I might check it out; I used to enjoy Inuyasha along with the rest.
Highly likely, since they're still airing the original series on the Saturday block. Then again, they're running it at the 5 a.m. time slot, so the acquisition may not be immediate.
