I've been saying for years that they should make a live action Cowboy Bebop.......but Keanu Reeves probably would not have been my first choice for Spike.......all I can say is Cowboy Bebop is awsome, so they better not screw it up.
Hmmmm, does anyone else think that Keanu is a tad old to be Spike? I want him to do well, but . . . seriously directors!!! Stop doing remakes!!! If it ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT!!!!!!

I thought he was thinking about the role in that '47 Ronin' movie? Or does he want to do something more people have actually heard of? I like Cowboy Bebop all right, but I don't know about it as a live-action movie. C'mon, Hollywood, go get your own stories (good ones, I mean.)
Y'know, these guys promise to stay faithful to the original, but then they change their minds. Like how with the new Karate Kid movie, they want it to have a more Chinese than Japanese flair.

Although Keanu Reeves did a good job in the matrix i am worried to see him in the remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still. I think he'd possibly be pretty good in the cowboy bebop movie though ^^ Lets hope for the best ^^
I bet it will probably take a toupée to help Reeves be able to look the part of Spike in the "Cowboy Bebop" flick, seeing that the character has something like an afro. The costume and acting shouldn't be a problem either.
I predict the actor's portrayal of Spike in the movie will turn out all right!

1. You have Keanu Reeves. I like him. I think he does fairly well. However, his playing Spike just doesn't seem to match. Plus, I LOVE the voice of Spike (Steve ___ - Can't think of his last name! Dang it...). So I think that might throw it off.
2. Cowboy Bebop's story goes so beyond that first episode. I really don't see how they can stretch that one episode out without breaking.
This will be interesting to see if and when it comes out.

Not Keanu Reeves... He is most well-known for making movies that could potentially be amazing, but because he plays the lead the movies are less than stellar...
I mean seriously, the best movie he ever played in was Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure... (I've never seen the Matrix trilogy...)
But I do hope that he can pull it off... Maybe this will be his re-break-out role...
I guess all we can do now is hope for the best!
