Ability to go first person you say? Nice. Cause my Metroid fandom goes back to '01/'02 when the Prime games started. Wish I had gotten into the side scrollers back in the day. Which brings up another question: hope they keep the scan visor in there cause in the prime games I really enjoyed reading all those logs, lore, and profiles.

It's actually much less action than it appears in the E3 trailer. According to those that have tried the demo, it is a mix of the SNES style Super Metroid, with a third person view style of the Prime trilogy (though you do have to ability to go first person).
Oh wow, they're taking Metroid to the action game genre? What happened to Retro Studios? Anyway, looks very interesting. Kinda reminded me of that Haloid video where Samus battles a female master chief. I'm actually very excited to see how this game will turn out!
