About the scanlations and fansubs... it's completely different. We're all crazy fans that can't wait for a series to hit the States, or can't wait years for it to catch up to where it is in Japan. And some of are buying the series too, even if we do download things online. We are not however, claiming another artist's works to be our own and making money off them.
Personally, I think it's ridiculous that Nick Simmons would even consider attempting what he did, I mean, his dad is Gene Simmons! Surely he, more than most, knows what kind of trouble he could get into by plagiarizing! Anyway, all of us BLEACH fans just need to relax, there's no way he's getting away with it, Daddy can't save him.

Over at the ANN forums, someone had apparently smelled the scent of plagiarism in August last year, although the manga being compared with Incarnate was Hellsing and not Bleach. (link)

Yeah he's one sick dude. He even copied one of the guys from deviantart.com. That's a double offense for stealing 2 works from people. Blasphemy I say! KISS was great but apparently Gene Simmons' genetics weren't exactly the best. What an abomination. I feel bad for Gene because he's gonna have to go through all the lawsuits and slander just because his son plagiarized. Grab your torches and pitchforks!

This guy makes me sick to no end and to claim he's never heard of Bleach or thinks he clearly didn't copy it is absolute bull. I hope he gets what's coming to him. Make him live in regret for the rest of his life (and burn in hell while he's at it)

Upon further review, Nick Simmons is as good at art as his dad is at music. Great at copying whats popular at the moment.
I read the article, it seems he is cribbing on a lot more than Bleach. I mean, I do fanart to practice and get better, so I have no room for complaints there. But, Im not looking to make any money off of it, so to pass all that off as his own is disgraceful.
Tite Kubo has been a good sport about it, and said nothing bad about the situation (check his Twitter, if you don't believe me). He did not stop production at all! In fact, it was the publisher for Incarnate that stopped the production- with good reason.
