Kodai's uniform and the Yamato's look in that trailer sure are faithful to the Anime. Hopefully, this movie will be distributed worldwide since there are still countries today that have otakus who grew up with the Anime legend.
By the way, that's two "Space Battleship Yamato" movies scheduled for 2010 (according to IMDB) as the other one is meant to be a U.S. live-action film titled "Star Blazers", likely to be mainly based on the Anime's Americanzied version the same way "Speed Racer" (2008) is based on the Americanzied version of "Mach Go Go Go" (1967).
