Outlaw Melfina is right about everything that goes on in the Anime GTO... But it is still a good Anime. And after all what goes on in the Anime goes on in real life, at least it is true to life as it can be... Better then some that try and fail to do so because they are afraid it will not be aired...

    Later,
    Kita

So, Shin-chan's out of India, GTO's out of Russia, what next? I do have some suggestions, but they're personal opinion and I'd rather not get flamed by idiot fans.

Wow.. first South Park and now GTO. These two shows (and other shows like these that have been banned/could be banned in Russia) is something that would be seen in late night here in the U.S and never in prime time. Even though these shows have some content that wouldn't be appropriate for most, they're still cartoons. It's (usually) never the intention for the creators to send off a message to its viewers... it's just for entertainment.

I also suppose it would depend on culture and how other people view different topics. But what it all comes down to it, it's still a cartoon. Hopefully Russia (and other countries) can someday see how other cultures view topics and figure out how to show it without offending anyone.

Have any of you ever watched or read it? All the pervy things that you could think of exist in both the manga and anime! Rape, statutory rape, nakedness, kidnapping, the yakuza, porn videos, gaming, peeping up girls' skirts on the trains, violence, more violence, blood... etc. I could go on!
    No wonder!

Some cultures just don't know when to learn to accept others for their own creative traditions.

Looks like T.V. censorship on Anime is becoming more of a global crisis than before.

Just finished reading the news story.

Sucks to be Russia. Absolute shame. With a little luck, people will realise that they're being stupid about it, perhaps.
