I think adding a siggy is a good idea, I usually put mine at the sides, but I suppose there is always a danger that they could be cropped off there... So adding yours to the centre of the image is a good idea ^^ my only suggestion would be to make it a little opaque, or fade it a touch, so it is still visible, but doesn't look as though the text would be part of the image, if that makes sense?
Ah yes! Art theft is terrible! DX I sometimes get my wallies stolen because I'm lazy (my fault!) and don't put signatures on my works, until as of late. I still admire how you put it somewhere noticeable, but it...flows wit the picture (and doesn't stand out too much).
