Not here in Canada, but in Britain they do. (Some there use it as more or less a day to set off fireworks, haha.) Yeah, it's not officially recognized in North America, but some do make note of it in their own ways.
I thought it was interesting that Guy Fawkes Day was a day before the American election. Naturally, I couldn't let the opportunity pass to submit something.
