Though I've never sold anything and don't plan on it for a long time (if ever) these are really good tips for those who are going to start selling, or those who are already selling. I cant tell you how many times I've felt like flipping through an artists work or wanting to buy something but the artist was reading a book or something and it made them look as if they were giving off a vibe of 'I don't want to be bothered leave me alone' so I just didn't bother. Artists give off an intimidating atmosphere, and I think they should be more relaxed and friendly, like you said. They will most definitively sell more that way :]

Wow, those are some really good tips. Unfortunately, I'll be moving to an overseas country that lack anime conventions, so I won't be able to put any practice into the advice (though I really want to ><)

Actually, there are some great pointers in this essay :D The sad part is that when I'll be doing my first Artist Alley at Animethon, I won't be able to sneak away too much and hang out with my friends D: I guess sacrifice is what it's going to take... Maybe I'll get enough time for the autograph session?

Anyways, I'm glad you wrote this essay. I'll make sure to keep that in mind when I'm there!

    Thanks~
