well I figured out what japanese myth it was from
it was teh one about the woman who came up behind you and had the mask on and if you siad yes or no she killed you, if you siad eh so-so you could run while she was confused
I love poems and especially this one. Very scary and good description. Hospitals and stuff and scary. I don't quite get the knife part though. Thanks for reading my submission for the contest.

I totally love to watch Japanese movies with the subtitles. I wish I could speak japanese so i could understand them
but the best way to watch a Japense anime or film is with the subtitles

I think it is totally cool that you are japanese
I also think that americans (even though I am one) screw up a lot of stuff
some things they rock at, but the UK and Japan make the best stuff
That movie was based on a Japanese legend. There was this beautiful women who's husband believed she was cheating on her and so he took her beauty by cutting her mouth from ear to ear, saying "who will love you now?" or something along those lines.
and suppossidly her ghost haunts the nights. she wears a yellow kimono and she holds a sickle (not scissors or a knife). She wears a mask to cover her face and first ask if you think she's pretty. "Watashi Kirei?" if you say yes, then she takes off the mask and asks again.
if you say yes or no she eventually kills you.
if you say she's so-so that she's "sort of pretty" then she'll leave you alone.
=] the movie was a poor rendition of her, made after her ghost 'reapeared' back in the 90s. it was a great scare lol.
She's my favorite demon legend thing in Japanese myth. shes wonderous.

I really tried to make it original, I jsut based it off a myth I heard, a japanese myth.
I understand that there are some differant versions of it, and I am not trying to be rude
but, I sort of wanted it to be more original, and less like a movie or myth.
I really hope you can understand, and sorry if I sound rude
